Four hands toasting with Gilde Nordisch Hell above the Hanover skyline.

Gilde · Packaging Design & Artwork

A Helles from the north.

Gilde is adding a Helles to its range. We designed the labels for Nordisch Hell and handled the artwork through to production.

Background

Hanover since 1546, now as a Helles too.

Nordisch Hell is the new variant in the Gilde range. It needed a look of its own while still reading as Gilde on the shelf.

The label works with sky blue, cream and warm gold, the colours of coast and evening light. The brand lockup stays unchanged: crest, blackletter wordmark, red signet and the year 1546. Below it, two bands carry the name, NORDISCH in caps on blue with the rooster as a watermark, and Hell in gold script on cream. The neck label repeats the sequence in miniature, so the bottle stays recognisable from above and in a cropped shelf view.

After approval, we handled the production side. The design became print-ready artwork for the body and neck labels, matched to label format, substrate and printing process.

The colours come from the coast

Sky blue, cream and warm gold: the palette of Nordisch Hell picks up coast and evening light, making the origin visible before anyone reads the variant name.

Result

01

Recognisably Gilde

Crest, blackletter type and signet stay unchanged. Nordisch Hell sits on the shelf as part of the range.

02

A palette of its own

Sky blue, cream and gold set the variant apart from the rest of the range without leaving the brand's look.

03

From design to print

Design and artwork stayed in one house. Between approval and print files there was no handover to a second supplier.
