Brand & Range
The bigger the range, the blurrier the brand.
A large range loses its distinctiveness on shelf first: the variants differ, but the brand behind them gets harder to recognise. We sharpen positioning and how the range presents itself, and build a design system every variant and size can be derived from.
Diagnosis
Three patterns we see again and again.
Where they apply, the cause sits in the process and repeats with every project.
Separate variants, or one system for the whole range.
In detail
Every SKU reopens the same fundamental question.
Variants, sizes or subranges are designed case by case instead of derived from a fixed brand system.
The brand no longer explains itself fast enough.
Neither the benefit nor the difference between variants is clearly legible at a glance.
Strategy and pack are created separately.
The positioning is written down, but it is not visible in the design. What leads on the pack is decided case by case.
What we deliver
These services are included.
To start, we look at the category, the brand image and how the range shows up on shelf, and derive the first design decision from that.
- 01
Define how the brand is recognised
We define which recognition cues stay the same on every pack and where the variants are allowed to differ.
- 02
Build a system for the whole range
We build a master design and define how the variants differ and what leads on the pack. Later additions then do not break the system open again.
- 03
Hand over to final artwork
We hand the system over ready for final artwork: master and variants, open files, rules for the pack layout and clear approval versions for artwork and rollout.
Brand-to-Shelf
In the end, what reaches the shelf is what counts.
Every solution ends where people buy: with a result that stands on the shelf.

FAQ
Common questions about this challenge
Both belong together. We start with brand and range, but carry the decision all the way into concrete packaging.
Yes. Often a complete reinvention isn't needed, but a clearer system that translates existing equity cleanly into the range.
Through fixed recognition cues, clear rules for the variants and clear priorities on the pack. That way there is no fresh discussion with every new variant.
Which bottleneck is holding you up right now?
In the intro call we place it: what causes it, who is involved and where a realistic first step begins.
